This 46-unit duplex family project is part of a planned demolition of Booker T. Washington Homes. Two new developments were completed prior to demolition of the existing housing. Rufus Mayfield Homes was completed in 2013 as the third phase on the site of the demolished units for Lake Charles, Louisiana Housing Authority. This $10.8 million mix of single family and duplex structures is a valuable component to revitalizing the surrounding neighborhood.
